This is the couch...

This is the couch that would not fit through the door.

This is the door that was too small,
the door that was too small for the couch to fit through.

This is the husband,
that removed the door,
the door that was too small for the couch to fit through.

This is the crowbar used to take off the trim,
that was applied by the husband,
that removed the door,
the door that was too small for the couch to fit through.

This is the mess,
that was left by the crowbar used to take off the trim,
that was applied by the husband,
that removed the door,
the door that was too small for the couch to fit through.

This is the stairwell,
that was the path for the couch,
in which the mess was piled,
that was left by the crowbar used to take off the trim,
that was applied by the husband,
that removed the door,
the door that was too small for the couch to fit through.

This is the railing,
that needed to be take out of the stairwell,
that was the path for the couch,
in which the mess was piled,
that was left by the crowbar used to take off the trim,
that was applied by the husband,
that removed the door,
the door that was too small for the couch to fit through.

This is the husband again, that removed the railing,
that needed to be take out of the stairwell,
that was the path for the couch,
in which the mess was piled,
that was left by the crowbar used to take off the trim,
that was applied by the husband,
that removed the door,
the door that was too small for the couch to fit through.

This is the couch that FINALLY fit through the door,
after being twisted and turned by the wife, the mother-in-law, and the husband,
that removed the railing,
that needed to be take out of the stairwell,
that was the path for the couch,
in which the mess was piled,
that was left by the crowbar used to take off the trim,
that was applied by the husband,
that removed the door,
the door that was too small for the couch to fit through.

*After an hour and a half of moving and maneuvering, my mom, Jason, and I finally wrestled that couch down to the basement - and determined that we would NEVER. MOVE. IT. AGAIN.

I wish that I could have been a "mouse in the corner" watching all of this transpire... :-)

Cute post, my friend!

Hey, we had that same problem with our couch when we moved. We determined that it would only be removed with the help of a chainsaw! Your post is so creative!

We had to buy a new bed when we moved because ours wouldn't fit up the stairs. :)

for the *rules*--just copy and paste the list and put in your emotions...then tag anyone else you want to. :)

That was soooo funny. Your hubby is one patient guy! And your rhyming skills are pretty sharp too!

Ask your Mom about the video I sent her about kids sleeping through smoke alarms. Very scary stuff especially up north where alot of you burn wood for heat.

Happy Monday & God Bless!

Perhaps you can sell it with the house if you should ever move? :)

Having JUST moved we can relate, the movers couldnt get our king size bed upstairs so our bedroom is now in the dining room, lol.
