For Everything There is a Season...

Jason's grandma, affectionately known as Grandma Marian to our kids, passed away last night. During the past week, she had suffered two heart attacks and a stroke.

She was a wonderful, loving, endearing mother, grandma, and great-grandma. She will be dearly missed by all.

Here is Grandma Marian at a family reunion this past summer - one of those rare times when every single family member was present! She was given a special scrapbook with pictures of each of her great-grandchildren.

Here are all the great-grand kids trying to get a peek at the scrapbook.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
For everything there is a season,

a time for every activity under heaven.

A time to be born and a time to die.

A time to plant and a time to harvest.

A time to kill and a time to heal.

A time to tear down and a time to build up.

A time to cry and a time to laugh.

A time to grieve and a time to dance.

A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.

A time to embrace and a time to turn away.

A time to search and a time to quit searching.

A time to keep and a time to throw away.

A time to tear and a time to mend.

A time to be quiet and a time to speak.

A time to love and a time to hate.

A time for war and a time for peace.

We are praying for you and your family, Jason, as you grieve the loss of your Grandma. I know that you have many fond memories of your growing-up years with her...so, know that you are in our thoughts and prayers! Sending our love always!

I'm sure you will all miss Grandma Marian as the kids knew her quite well. Jason, I think your Grandma thought you were quite special since you looked so much like your Grand Dad.

Hope to see you Friday if I can get work schedule arranged.
Lots of love
Mother-in-law Maxine

WOW! When Grandma planned her funeral many years ago she had asked that Ec.3:1-8 be read at her funeral!
The verses that Jason will be reading were also special to her, II Cor 5:1-8, where we leave our old body for the new body that Christ gives us!
She was a special lady and nothing but nice to me, I will miss her.
